~Symptoms of Become an Ash
·      Increased stamina
·      Lack of appetite
·      Short temper
·      Insatiable thirst
·      Beauty and strength
·      Male

Charlie Bennet was all of these things except for being male. Charlie is all female and wants nothing to do with the ash, that is, until she turns into one. Charlie turns into an ash and is immediately thrown into the ash/vampire compound in Portland called the Hive. There is only a limited amount of space for new ash, so in order to earn the right to live in the Hive, and to live in general, Charlie is going to have to survive the culling. The culling is a series of fights to the death. The only chance of survival Charlie has is to accept the help of the lead enforcer, and super sexy, Ryder. Will Charlie be able to survive a series of brutal fights to the death and earn the right to live?~

What I loved about this book is Charlie. She is such an interesting and hilarious character. I laughed so much while reading this book. And don’t get me started on Jayden. Jayden is such a funny, fresh character. Charlie and Jayden’s friendship is so entertaining. They’d have to be my favorite book BFFs ever. Or, BAFF as Charlie says, best ash friend forever. And then there is Ryder. Man, talk about a sexy alpha character who knows what he wants and how to get it. He can be standoffish at times, but then there are times where he is very understanding and compassionate.

There wasn’t really anything that I didn’t like about this book. The writing was amazing, the characters were perfect, and the storyline is so interesting. This book will suck you in and won’t let you go until you read the last word. I absolutely love books that I honestly can’t put down, and this is one of them. I truly recommend this book if you are looking for a good vampire book with interesting twists and turns.
