I could not put this book down. I fell in love with it from the very first chapter and it is impossible to not get emotionally involved with these characters. There are some characters that you will love from the get go, and there are others that you hate the moment you meet them and your hatred for these characters grow as the story progresses. But there are characters that you at first dislike, but as the story goes on you start to understand and kind of like them.

This book is about a girl whose life is turn upside down when she attacked on the dark streets of Chicago. Ema wakes up in a strange castle in Finland and is almost immediately thrown into a new world of blood, death, and deceit. Ema meets character’s that she likes almost immediately, other’s she has a strong distaste for. Will Ema accept what has happened to her and embrace her destiny? Will she be able to accept her destiny and those who are sworn to protect her? Or is she going deny her destiny?

This book has a lot of twist and turns that it will keep you obsessed and make you not want to put the book down. If you are looking for a good book with a different take on vampires and vampyres, then this is the book for you. ^.^
